Layout
Structure of the SandBytes UI—top bar, sidebar, and main workspace.
Layout
The SandBytes interface is built around three main areas: Global Navigation (Top Bar), Module Navigation (Sidebar), and Workspace (Main Content). Before sign-in, only the Login screen is shown.
Before sign-in
When not authenticated, the app shows a single Login screen: logo, Username and Password fields, and a Login button. After successful authentication, the full layout with top bar, sidebar, and workspace is shown.

After sign-in: three zones
After authentication, the interface is divided into three functional zones.
1. Global Navigation (Top Bar)
The top bar is fixed at the top of the viewport. It contains:
- User Menu — Access to profile and account-related actions.
- Session Management (Logout) — End the current session.
- Global Search — Quick navigation between modules (e.g. Ctrl + K).
Use the top bar to switch context, search, or sign out without leaving the current page.
2. Module Navigation (Sidebar)
The sidebar is the primary way to move between product areas. Entries are grouped by function:
- Operations: Dashboard, Cases, Hunt.
- Intelligence: IoCs, Feeds.
- System: Parsers, Enrichers, Workflows.
- Administration: Users, Roles, Settings.
Selecting an item loads that module in the Workspace.
3. Workspace (Main Content)
The large central area is the Workspace. It shows the current module: dashboard, case list, hunt search, parser configuration, and so on. All data tables, forms, and filters appear here.

The following screenshot shows the full layout after sign-in: top bar (top), sidebar (left), and workspace with the Dashboard (center).
